PTI February 2014 Blog Hop

It's time for another PTI Blog Hop! I just love the color palette offered by by Nichole this month. I was drawn to the lavender and green, one of my favorite color combinations. I did rediscover our desperate need for some felt in New Leaf. Fingers crossed we will see this from PTI soon!

#2 PTI Anniversary Submission

Another color combo/layout combo based on these sketches from Papertrey Ink 7th Anniversary Celebration:

I just love this Owl set from Melissa Bickford. And I am totally channeling Laua Bassen in using bold colors and more white space than I normally leave. Not sure what was going on with my camera and lighting - that top stripe really is Hibiscus Burst, not the orange color as it appears on my computer.

Supplies:
Stamps: PTI: Polka Dot Parade #11; Boutique Borders: Love
Dies: Polka Dot Parade #11, Boutique Borders Friend, Rick-Rack border die
Ink: PTI, Colorbox

#1 PTI Anniversary Submission

I have a couple submissions ready for the PTI 7 Year Anniversary Celebration.  Nichole Heady issued this challenge on Day One, with seven color combos and 7 layouts. My goal is to tackle each sketch, but crafting time is not on my side this week, so will continue to do what I can to meet this challenge. Using a new Tim Holtz Splatters stencil, I applied a new technique I learned in the recent Online Card Class: Stenciled.

Supplies:
Stamps: Papertrey Ink Doodlie-Do; Fillable Frames #5
Card stock, White Filigree powder, Ink: All PTI
Circle Die: Spellbinders
Stencil: Tim Holtz Splatters

Valentine's Day

I made several different cards for Valentine's this year - but mailed all of them out before photographing, except this one. I "cased" a similar card from Heather Campbell on the Avery Elle blog but used The Sweet Life stamps from Papertrey Ink for my roses. I really like how this turned out and will be using a lot more vellum in the future.

SUPPLIES:
Stamps: PTI: The Sweet Life; Savvy Stamps: Happy Valentine's Day
Dies: Avery Elle: Love; Border: PTI; Small Hearts: Simon Says Stamp
